DiscoverFest is California State University, Fullerton’s premier campus event, introducing students to student organizations, campus departments, and community partners. The objective of this project was to design a typography-focused logo and visual asset system for DiscoverFest 2026, creating an inviting and energetic identity that encourages students to engage with their campus community.
To highlight both concepts I created, the visual identity centers around a themes of "locks and keys" and "interlocking puzzles," serving as a literal and metaphorical representation of unlocking new campus experiences and finding where you piece into the community. The custom block typography utilizes an intricate, puzzle-like structure where each letterform seamlessly locks into the next, creating a bold visual grid that mirrors how student organizations and campus departments connect to build a complete student network. By integrating subtle key elements directly into the negative spaces and counters of the typography, the design playfully reinforces the idea that every club, connection, and event at the fest is an opportunity waiting to be opened.
